Yellow guava, grapefruit, ceylon tea

Down in the Ruvuma region of southern Tanzania, past tropical savannas and the Liparamba Game Reserve, 277 smallholder farmers, 48 of them women, are doing the real work. They’re part of Lukanzauti AMCOS, a co-op founded in 2018 not just to process and sell coffee, but to give local growers a voice and a fairer shot.

Grown at 1,600 meters and fully washed, this lot is crisp and elegant. It opens with yellow guava and grapefruit, then settles into a silky finish with subtle notes of Ceylon tea. It’s vibrant without being flashy. Honest, clean, and built from the ground up.

The co-op is democratically run by eight elected community members. That means this coffee isn’t just about flavor—it’s about local power, shared equity, and building something sustainable, one harvest at a time.
