Tangerine, sugar cane, passion fruit

Some coffees just hit. Gatugi is one of those. Grown along the Ichamama River in Nyeri and processed at one of Kenya’s oldest co-ops, this lot is all finesse and electricity. It starts with a smack of citrus—tangerine and pink grapefruit—then unrolls into tropical passion fruit, cranberry, and red berries. The sweetness is razor-sharp, like sugarcane and simple syrup. This is a coffee that demands attention.

This AA selection is the largest bean grade from Gatugi’s washing station, part of the Othaya Farmer’s Cooperative Society, a group of 18 mills known for meticulous processing and legendary quality. Respect the work that went into this. Hand-sorted cherries, raised-bed drying, careful fermentation—it shows up in every sip.
